The Peace Arch is a 67 foot concrete structure which sits on the border between the United States and Canada and is jointly maintained by both countries. The Arch commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Ghent which ended the War of 1812 between the United States and Great Britain. An international sculpture exhibition was there during our visit.
