The park rules state you must keep a distance of 25 yards from all wild animals.  As you can see there is no where near that distance here.  These bison were grazing along the road from the walkway of Old Faithful Geyser Basin into Old Faithful Inn, and there were hundreds of people milling about.  However, just out of the picture, a ranger closed off the trail and was routing people around it because Poppa was grazing there.  He said the cow and the calf were pretty safe, but the bull was not to be messed with.
